The root of the teak tree is a waste product of the certified teak plantations in Java, Indonesia. When the roots need to be unearthed in order to plant new teak trees, the teak root is usually considered as waste. If not discarded, teak root can be turned into durable furniture, home decor and kitchenware that saves trees from being cut down.
