The METSIKKÖ blanket is a Jacquard wool blanket in a stunning Nordic design by awarded designer Matti Pikkujämsä, made with 100% pure new Finnish wool, is fluffy and soft feeling comfortable even on bare skin.

 

This lovely blanket is woven and finished in Lapua from wool yarn spun from high-quality, certified Wool Integrity NZ fibre, while the warp yarn is spun in the EU area from certified South American wool fibre. In order to achieve the best result, the fibres come from different parts of the world, because the quality and fineness of the wool varies depending on the breeds of sheep and their living conditions.

 

All yarns are mulesing-free wool. All yarns are spun as well as dyed in Europe according to REACH regulations and fulfil the ÖKO-TEX certificate requirements.

    Woven blanket  - 130cm x 180cm

    Wash only when the textile is really dirty, otherwise light ventilation outside will be enough. Hand wash up to 30°C or dry cleaning. Dispense the detergent in plenty of water and allow to dissolve well. Immerse the textile in water and wash immediately. Squeeze lightly. Do not rub, stretch or twist. Rinse thoroughly and squeeze out the water. Press between towels until semi-dry and dry airily. Do not tumble dry. Ironing only through a damp cloth, no more than 150°C.

    Product development, material purchases, programming of looms and design as well as warping, weaving, finishing and fabric inspection is done in Lapua in our own weaving mill in Finland.  Sewing is mainly done in our own subsidiary sewing company in Lithuania or our own weaving mill in Lapua. Accessories come from Europe, mainly from Finland. Country of origin is Finland.
