Suharto, the owner of the design workshop, has a passion for everything that is made out of wood. All products are handcrafted from waste teak wood (teak root). They select + source the materials themselves to ensure the materials have the best quality and are eco sustainable. The workshop is located in a small beautiful village in East Java + creates job opportunities for the villagers and people in the surrounding the area. Many people in the rural villages of Java benefit from teak root: local farmers who dig out the enormous roots, villagers who transport the roots to the craftsmen, the craftsmen who turn it into something useful and the local women who collect the wood shavings for a fire to cook on. This system reflects the nature of the village lifestyle.

The scent for this candle is an eco-friendly blend of natural isolates and essential oils in coconut and soy wax. These are some of the cleanest tealights you can burn. They're vegan, paraffin, phthalate and palm free.

WINTER BERRIES + CINNAMON TEALIGHTS - SET OF 4

Create a soft, evening glow with our winter berries & cinnamon scented soy tealights.

These come in a pack of 4, each hand decorated with cornflower petals. The winter berries are juniper berries, cranberries and elderberries, evoking the transitional time between autumn and winter where sweet and fruity notes are matched with the warmth and earthiness of cinnamon.

These scented soy tealights are made from coconut and soy wax. We've used fragrance oils for these which are paraben, phthalate and petrochemical free, and our aim with future candles is to gain access to fragrances derived from waste materials, which are a sustainable alternative to the over-extraction of resources that can come with essential oils. In this way, our tealights have a strong fragrance throw, and can fill your room with their scent.

Our tealights come in a recycled paper wrap. Each is handmade with love in the UK
